Tedd Drattell - Founder & CEO
Tedd Drattell is Founder and CEO of The A Team Group of companies. As the leader of The A Team Group, he is a key strategist in client relationships and business management and development. Tedd’s take-charge attitude combined with his extensive background in operations and finance, both in the private and public sectors, helps ensure that The A Team Group of companies provides the best talent and business recommendations to effectively and successfully meet each client’s needs.
Prior to founding The A Team Group of companies, Tedd was the President of The A Team Executive Management. Tedd has also had experience as CPA with Big 4 accounting firms, and as a CFO at privately held corporations in the apparel, manufacturing, wholesaling, and importing industries.
Actively involved in the business and local communities, Tedd is a founder of N3 and the Long Island Professional Alliance. He is also a board member of both the Entrepreneurs Organization of New York and the New York Staffing Association.
Tedd received his accounting degree from the University of Maryland. He and his wife live in Westchester County, New York.
Clay Samaroo - Executive Vice President
Clay Samaroo has shared his accounting and finance experience with small and mid-sized businesses for over 26 years, Clay has previously worked in a prominent public accounting firm as an auditor where he has acquired significant knowledge of financial reporting, business income tax and technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
In addition, Clay has special expertise in apparel, retail, manufacturing and importing. Clay is a versatile professional with broad expertise. Clay graduated Cum Laude from Bernard Baruch College of the City University of New York with a BS in Accounting.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Debra Phillipes - Executive VP & Chief Legal Officer
As Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of The A Team Group, Debra wears many hats. She is responsible for legal matters, human resources, marketing, and a multitude of administrative functions.
Since graduating from law school in 1984, Debra has worked at major national and international law firms, at UCLA School of Law, and in the office of the general counsel at both Hilton Hotels Corporation and Fred Sands Realtors. She has also held executive director positions at two non-profit organizations, and has done a variety of pro-bono work for indigent and special needs clients.
Debra received her law degree from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from Duke University.
Jeffrey Goldstein - Vice President
Jeffrey Goldstein has over 24 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. Most recently, he was the audit manager at a major NY CPA firm.
Jeffrey has a great ability to ferret out a client’s needs, and then guide them to become more fiscally successful and independent. Jeffrey’s accounting expertise, as well as the wide array of professional resources he has accumulated over the years through networking, makes him a valuable and trusted resource for his clients.
Jeffrey received his accounting degree from the University at Maryland.
Esmeralda Dine - Accounting Manager
Esmeralda Dine handles many day to day operations and accounting responsibilities for the A Team Group, as well as providing accounting services to several A Team Outsourcing clients. Esmeralda’s exceptional work ethic, dedication and professionalism combine to make her a highly valued and trusted member of our team.
Prior to joining The A Team, Esmeralda was Assistant Controller for a design company and then for a major New York City law firm. Esmeralda gained considerable practical experience while working and going to school full-time.
Esmeralda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a minor in Economics, from Baruch College in New York.
